EXPO 4: Final Track Vote
Here is how this will work. The West Coast people can override any vote by getting us up to the needed attendance by the end of the week. I did have about 9 people pay since last week so now we only need about 30-35 more people by the end of the week to keep it in Arizona. We will need more people than this but I assume people will trickle in and we can always allow those others willing to participate if it comes to that.
1) You must be registered and logged in at ITRCA to vote.
2) Do NOT vote on a track you don't plan to attend.
3) You can only vote once.
4) Only picking your 1st choice is mandatory and please don't vote for 3 tracks if you will only attend one track.

I hope the west coast f00lz can pull this off.
That being said, I think we East coasters should also step up and pay up so that we can still have a NATIONAL ITR Expo, instead of propagating this East vs. West situation.
Yeah, I know not many want to spend the time to travel most of the way across the country.
But if we can't (or don't) make the effort to go West for an event (with our cars, be they towed, trailored or driven), then how can we expect them to come East? JMHO Ed

I know you want to stop the west vs east stuff, ed.. and I know you love nothing more than a good roadtrip - especially to an ITR expo in AZ.. but seriously, how can you expect a lot of east cost people(speaking for myself, and probably a few others here) to want to go through that expense when the west coast doesn't seem to want to.. and it's MUCH closer to them.. not trying to be an *******, but you have to be realistic about all this at some point.. the enthusiasm(with the exception of 10 or 15 people) just hasn't been there..
and with that.. I'm off to go vote..

If Nurburgring was on the list, you will probably vote for that and drive your car across Atlantic...
However, I can bet $10 right now that if the final track IS Arizona, you probably won't be able to make it due to many unforeseen events. Why not go with a more practical bet like Summit point? It's close by and cheap!

I have a very nice tax refund coming and 50% is for the expo, So on that note if something comes up that prevents me from going- I'll just pay for it to get out of my way.

I would really like to see it stay in Arizona. I use the Expo as a big road trip and and a chance to see places I haven't seen before, so I don't care where it is as long as it moves around. I would really hate to see the Expo be an "east coast Expo" from now on, but understand that that may be the only way to have one.
Wes - who hopes that the Expo keeps moving from region to region from year to year like it has.

Voted! Cant wait to see results.
30-35 more persons paid to keep it out West. I do not see that happening by the end of this week. East Coast Expo4!!

Done and done. Thanks again Trey for all of your hard work for such an incredibly long period of time to ensure that we all have the best ITR Expo we can.
Even though I'm in Ohio, I had my turn with the Expo the last two years and wouldn't mind seeing the Expo out west and was willing to sit this year out because of it. But hey, if they don't want to take advantage of it, I'm not going to feel sorry for them and have absolutly no problem whoring all of the ITR Expo's into my region and having it right in my backyard - Mid Ohio all the way!

Does anyone else feel that there should be a notice sent via ITRCA mailing list about this vote? Or something? There isn't even anything that mentions all this news on the ITRCA home page or on the Expo page of the ITRCA (unless I missed it). I am assuming those that have already paid have at least been notified via email, but I haven't paid yet, so I don't know.
I'd still like it to go to Arizona because I have friends in Tucson and it's on a holiday weekend, but I would also love to go to Mid Ohio or somewhere on the East, so I'm not complaining. I'm kinda in the middle of everything (AR)
But I also feel like this is being done rather quickly without getting the word out. I'm sure lots of people don't get online much, let alone Honda-tech. And while it's too late this year, it seems it would be beneficial in the future to do some paper-mailings and more email-mailings too. I know we have to make decisions quickly, but how many people logon every day? Plus, how many people are members of ITRCA or go there to look for info and don't get on HT, when there is not even a notice on ITRCA? (didn't see a sticky in the ITR forum on there either)
Again, I'm not complaining, (and Trey kicks *** for taking this responsibility) I'll be happy anywhere it is, I'm just thinking about those that may not know what is going on. Just something to think about.

Just voted!
Personally, I think it's sickening that some of the East Coast/Midwest would be participants are not paying because they hope it fails and not happen in Arizona.

If the west coast event goes through, then at least maybe 50 ITR owners who never had the chance in the last 2 years to drive so far will be able to finally partake in an expo. And then it can go back to the East for 2 more years.
I don't see why it should be called the ITR Expo when one section of the country never has a chance to have it in their backyard. Its not an ITR Expo then, its an East Coast ITR Expo.
Why is it more fair that some people in the east get to have it in their backyard every single year? (as its looking like becoming) I don't understand why that would be more fair to the community in large. Basically then the majority (east coast) gets everything, and the minority (west coast) gets nothing.
I'd like to thank Trey and everyone else who worked to get the Expo in Arizona, for trying to arrange a true ITR Expo, a national event. And thank you to all ITR Expo 1 organizers as well, if it wasn't for you I would have never had the chance to go to an expo in the first place, and would not have wanted to go to this one.
