Opinions: DEFI DIN-Gauge System
I'm eyeing this gauge system for the R. I like that it can slot right into an empty DIN slot. Anybody have experience with these or have opinions?

I did a lot of research when I was looking into building a 180, and the Defi were the gauges that I was going to go with. The way that their setup is designed was significantly better than almost every other manufacturer out there. Sucks that they are green and wouldn't match anything, but they are bitchin nonetheless.

do they datalog/ playback too?

I am pretty sure they do offer some sort of play back. Defi's are pretty high quality gauges, but there pricy.

check out Omori.
Omori makes a DIN that has angled gauge mounts that face the driver AND their gauges have user adjustable color(RGB) to match your stock lighting.

It should be easy to change the LED's inside of these things. Don't be such pussies.

Just buy a amber led and pop it in, (im assuming its that easy, ive never actually seen a defi gauge) Amber leds are easy to find, if you need one hit me up.

I have that installed in my R like 2 weeks ago. It was quite easy to install. One thing you need to be aware is that this unit is built for the RHD. So, all the gauges are facing the right hand side. I had to take it apart and turn the gauges upside down in order to make it facing the left hand side.
PM me if you want to know the price.
