Please read... Type R owners who recently bought a S2K
I just happened to go over to http://www.s2ki.com forums and read the following post: http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/...44024
For some reason, the S2K comes with spacers in the springs that should be removed by the dealer, but usually the dealer fails to remove some or all of them. I haven't checked my car as of yet, buried under snow and way too cold outside, but please check your S2K.

I"m sure its pretty obvious to the eyes if you have them on or not. I saw mine with spacers when it arrived at the dealer and it looked like a 4x4. The dealer should take them off, if they are any good.
When I bought my '02, a friend of mine who was an S2K owner checked the car before we left the lot and the spacers had been removed.

thanks for the headsup. i know there are numerous s2000's on the road right now with spring spacers still installed. no wonder there are so many reports of cars losing control even under normal driving.
luckily i put my car up on a lift at 100 miles and thoroughly checked all 4 corners, no spring spacers at all.
