Anyone know about 87 Civic Carb swap to Fuel Injected????
does anyone know about this swap. do u have pics, info, links, blah, blah. please. i am in need of info. carb motor died in a friends car and we want to put a ZC in it.
There are a few carbed ZC's around. Otherwise, your best bet is to get a f/i parts car and take all the wiring harness, fuel system and tank out. You will need everything. I am currently doing this swap with B16 into and 87 HF CRX.
Check out http://www.redpepperracing.com for all the first gen CRX and 3rd gen civic info you will need.

I realise this doesn't really answer your question on, how to swap in EFI. But you can still get high performance out of a carbed civic.
Just check out this months Super Street magazine and read the article about the "Top speed" Mugen/Comptech 1984 CRX. They get 163hp out of 1.5 carbed E W engine with Weber carbs. It is possible to make the carbed hondas very fast without all the headaches and time and money it would take to make a EFI car out of one that's not. And they would still handle like go-karts because of the weight advantages.
