Default WW RS Kit installation

My WW RS kit shipped on friday; It should be here soon.

Should I install it unpainted? I am not really planning on painting the car for a while... and when I do it will be an entirely different color than it is now. I am thinking of just putting the kit on unpainted. Yes I know I will look like a shameless riceboy.

Assuming that I am going to install it unpainted, what sort of supplies do I need to install it? Does it come with the double sided tape, etc? Anything special I should watch out for?

Thanks

Dustin

I don't know if it was just my car frame or the guy that installed it didn't know what he was doing but it doesn't line up to the fenders perfectly and the back is a little off center, not to mention the bumber lights have to be pretty much glued in or drill a hole in on one side and just screw it in on only one side. Grills are a must. also make sure the side skirts are fit snuggly against the body because they can get annoying when your foot keeps pulling onit as you get out or just trying to avoid it is a bit of a drag. but these things are truly indestrucable. I hit a curb with it at 50 or so(lets not go there) bent it almost in half and just some paint got scrapped off was all.

If i remember correctly, they do come with 2-sided tape. Fit then paint.

Install it first, like someone said here, the double sided tape will not stick very well on at least 1 or 2 places and the body kit since its urethane will tend to mold and move around a tad at first. I installed mines without panting it too and ive already run into some pieces not sticking or trying to pul apart, better to find out now than after a paint job.

The body kit will fit pretty alright but keep in mind it is made from urethane, and it sometimes comes warped, mines leaves a small gap onthe passenger side rear, where the taillight meets the bodykit. It will not be 100% perfect but with some creativeness you could fix that. Theres tons of ways to put on the kit just follow the instructions the best you can and also keep in mind that their way is not the only way. I for example just used the self taping screws all around and it worked awesome, but you may not want to do this.

Like all the others have said, put it on first, before you paint. When you go to put it on, make sure you use some good wax stripper etc. to clean the surface where tape will be sticking to. Another thing, try and do it on a hot day. The tape seems to stick better when it is hot out. Remember, measure twice, drill once. The pieces will not come pre-drilled for mounting, you must do this on your own. As far as fastners go, I would highly recommend spending the extra time to rivet the pieces on. Not only does it look cleaner, it will hold up better. I also found out, it is a great theft deterrant.

Ok, I bought a rivet gun and some rivets... this is going to look a lot cleaner than screws!

I called the freight company and the kit will be here friday before 3pm...
