Default GSR header fitment question????

i am currently looking at a header at
http://www.fastfours.com/greddyheaders.html

It says that the greedy header they carry is for the G3 GSR. From what i have read all B series engines header will fit others. Such as in my case, wanting to purchase this header and install on my LS. I am pretty sure this is the case but i need someone to verify before i purchase.

Thanks ahead of time.

The primaries will indeed bolt up to most (I think all but I am not sure) B series motors. The difference comes in the secondary piping e.g. how it is routed, where the O2 sensor goes, ect. With a little work any B series header can fit any car with a B series motor. Because I am not sure if the G3 LS and the G3 GS-R have the same shape secondary I would reccomend trying to find a header for your car just to make the install easier.

if Greddy makes a header for the 00-01 GSR, it would bolt up, but I don't think they do. But the Type R header is the same length as yours, so that would also fit...let me take a look at the link

ok you win. Thanks thanks and thanks,
now... what does this mean:

Acura, Integra, LS/RS/GS/SE 1994 - 2000 stepped 4:2:1 MIG welded
$425.95

Acura, Integra, LS/RS/GS/SE 1994 - 2000 stepped 4:2:1polished, TIG welded
$383.36

anyone fill me in the what MIG welded Vs. TIG welded is???

in the "Great header test" done by SCC

the greddy and comptech were nearly identicle on the charts...(for a GSR)

so for the price, I would go with the Greddy

I can't remember what the acronyms stand for, but I do remember that TIG welds are better than MIG welds...something to do with the Tungsten that's used instead of teh Manganese or whatever it stands for. Let me look up some stuff on welding.

TIG welds:

Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) is frequently referred to as TIG welding. TIG welding is a commonly used high quality welding process. TIG welding has become a popular choice of welding processes when high quality, precision welding is required.

Weld Discontinuities
Undercutting
Tungsten inclusions
Porosity
Weld metal cracks
Heat affected zone cracks

Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) is frequently referred to as MIG welding. MIG welding is a commonly used high deposition rate welding process. Wire is continuously fed from a spool. MIG welding is therefore referred to as a semiautomatic welding process.

Weld Discontinuities
Undercutting
Excessive melt-through
Incomplete fusion
Incomplete joint penetration
Porosity
Weld metal cracks
Heat affected zone cracks

I guess that TIG welding offers better precision in the weld and perhaps better quality based upon the above.

go with the one that is more in your budget basically...IMO, no, its not worth the extra money

and I really think SCC should do another header test with all the new headers on the market...would be interesting to see how things have changed

ok, tried to order the greedy header, out of stock at autocarparts.com. They recomended the Comptech. I know Comptech is a reputable brand however i had my mind set on greedy mainly because of experence with greedy products and the price what right. Anyone with comptech header or experence with such please gimme alittle feedback on what i should do. http://www.autocarpars.com doest know when they are getting the greedy headers in stock.
