Default im getting anxious, how do you like your gsr ys1 transmission

i will be installing my new ys1 tranny in my eg this weekend and i am curious as to how you guys like the ratios

i would especially like to hear from the people with this tranny mated to a ls

I've driven a few before and it makes the car a lot more fun. You notice that it revs a bit quicker. It just feels faster than with the LS tranny, but then again, it doesn't feel as fast as a B16 tranny, or an ITR tranny.

I LOVE mine. And the clutch is as smooth as butter, to boot.

i had a gsr tranny on my ls and it rocked, way better than ls.
and the ys1 has Even SHORTER gears than b16/itr

I thought that only 1st, 4th, and 5th were shorter and that 2nd and 3rd were the same. I could be wrong, but who cares, it's a fun tranny.

actually i have some gear charts for the itr/b16 tranny
and the ys1 gsr tranny

ITR/B16
1- 3.230
2- 2.105
3- 1.458
4- 1.107
5- 0.848
final- 4.400
JDM ITR SPEC final drive 4.785


GSR YS1
1- 3.307
2- 2.105
3- 1.459
4- 1.107
5- 0.875
final- 4.400

i do know one thing i will need a lsd differential
i want a oem one so i will probably be looking for a while
quaife costs too much
