What do you think of the H&R Coilovers?
Does anyone have any experience with H&R Coilovers? (the ones that lower .5" - 3") i've heard nothing but great things about H&R springs but have yet to find someone with the coilover setup. Im considering it my next mod, and its only $100 more than a koni/GC setup.. and i think it would be worth it. All i know is they arent dampening/rebound adjustable, but designed for street driving. Thanks guys, any pics would be appreciated too.
Is this the Cup kit? I remember the H&R fully adjustable (well, rebound and dampening as well as height) coilovers costing around $2000(?).
If it is only $100 more then I would consider it. One thing is that the GC/Koni setup will be height and dampening adjustable and you can order custom GC spring rates. I don't know about the H&Rs. You may want to look into TrueChoice setups. They do custom Koni setups (I don't remember if they use GCs or not), but most people are pretty happy. That may be a little extreme, however.

<~~~~Likes his Neuspeed coilovers he picked up from http://www.Neuspeed.com for $799 shipped. Might want to consider this.
Neither the Neuspeed nor H&R have damping adjustments. Also, the $799 price from neuspeed was a sale for that time. I believe their sale has long since ended. If you're looking for a good low-priced coilover that doesn't have adjustable damping, check out the A'pex WS, which you can normally get for about $850. The H&R and Neuspeed coilovers are great too, but cost a lil more with the same features. If you want adjustable damping, it'll cost more...but check out Tein HA and Zeal B2 coilovers.

as i understand it, Koni Yellow shocks are only rebound adjustable (along with height perches) and NOT dampening adjustable. I'm looking into a good full-coilover setup for $1000 or less, i found the H&R coilovers (not dampening/rebound adjustable) for $890 shipped. great deal and im just playing around with other configurations while i save up money.. Anyone actually have these puppies?? tirerack.com reviews the H&R coilovers (for a civic) as the closest thing to a porsche suspension and much better than GC's.
thanks guys

I have the H&R full coilovers on my GSR, and I think they are the best $1000 I have spent yet. The ride is smooth, not too harsh, and the handling is tremendous. My tires can't hold grip when I push the suspension, so I'm trying to get some really good tires to handle the strength of the suspension. Raising the car is a pain in the ***, and does take a little elbow grease, but really not too big a deal. I finally have my car at the exact height I like it, and am gonna sit back and enjoy. Buy the H&R's.
Ecto1, thanks man! how much did you lower your car? do you have any pics? What do you have to do to raise/lower the car thats different from a GC procedure? What made you decide to get them? $1000 is a hefty decision (especially for me). Thanks

I got a set of them and am thinking of doing KYB's or tokiko's dunno yet I think I might do tokiko's because I might be able to get cost on em but otherwise I could use some info..
