a guy named jeff demeade from connecticut imports evo's occasionally. he imported an evo1 which was recently sold to jerry dombrowski here in tampa...with an extra set of wheels. i purchased that set and coincidentally..i've autox'd with jeff in connecticut when he used to run another evo4 at local autox's.

to find them is kinda rare though...and these were the only two sets i've seen for sale in the last few years...although i really havne't looked too hard until recently.

its a fun car...handles better than my ITR EG with neuspeed/koni, 22mm rear sway bar, strut bars front and rear....mainly because the chassis itself is stiffer than an EG and the rear solid beam axle allows the car to shift better than independent rear suspension. with more hp, a quaife, and 14 x 8's i believe the car will be somewhat competitive.

Wow just from reading this it sounds like its a wolf in sheeps clothing. Well more like a fawkin lion in a kittens clothing...but how did someone figure out that a 4g63 engine would fit in there? Did someone just eyeball it and say "aww **** it lets try it!" but still a big to the car/engine combo!

1500 mitsubishi mirages/dodge colt gt's came with a destroked 4g63...called a 4g61. it made 140, 140 and was turbo'd from the factory...so a 4g63 bolts in and plugs into the factory wiring harness.

I talked to this dude at WW3. I think he was trying to sell it? That would make a killer sleeper. Shares the same bolt pattern as preludes.
