Alright, heres my problem, i get this weird buzzing sound that seems like its coming from where the airbag is. It usually comes when i down shift to slow down and rpms go to about mid 5k or when im on the gas. and when i push the clutch in, it stops. this usually happens at 3rd, 4th and sometimes 5th gear. Its not vtec because i know what that sounds like. and sometimes i can hear it as well as the vtec. anybody got any clues or info on this ****? its really annoying.

 

stop downshifting to slow your car down .. unless you want to replace your clutch every 6 months..it doesnt do it when you dont downshift .. from what i can see from what you typed

You're wrong cause he typed it happens when he accelerates or is steady on the throttle also...

How does you telling him to stop driving the way he drives help his problem in anyway?

Do you have a front strut tower brace? If so, you might want to check the clearance all around it. I use to have a strong vibration before i bent the power steering hose mounting bracket on the valve cover when i had my Mugen FSTB.

yeh i do have one, its a DCsports titanium.

The buzzing sound stops at around 6k rpm tho, do you think it could be something wrong with the block or one of the valve or cylinders?

I had something similar to this, I found the two bolts that hold the plastic cover over the fuel injectors were loose.

you hace a CAI? i have seen some that rattle around on the inner fender etc...

 

Does the car have any performance defects of any kind? If not, I am thinking something might just be loose, possibly what GreenBean mentioned.

 

yeh i have an AEM Cai but the sound seems like its coming from under the airbag. i know that some DC2s have a problem with the firewall rattling at high rpms, have you guys heard of this?
