ecu's for zc
my bro pulled a zc out of a wrecked crx and swapped it in his rex. we were just looking at his ecu and relized its a pg6 from a 89 integra instead of a pr2 from a ZC. what are the differences in these ecu's? is it worth getting the other one? or is there another ecu that would be a better way to go?
i have a pg7 from a 89 teg. the proper zc ecu from what im told is a pm7 but the places ive found them are for like 180 bucks the pg7 plugged right into my hf harness and they only 'problem' is it runs a bit rich

Integra ECU is a PG7, the ZC is a PM7.
As for everyone saying the PG7 runs too rich and rough I am going to completely discount that.
I had my PM6 in since I had my swap, it didn't get such great mileage, it didn't run that smooth, when it was cold out my car would stall sometimes before it warmed up.
After getting a PG7 ecu from the junkyard my experience with it is that it is way better than a PM6. In cold starts the car fires up at actually idles at 1500 like it should instead of 800 with stalling like with the PM6. The idle of my car is smoother, it would be very blippy with the PM6. The gas mileage with the PG7 has been exactly the same as it was with the PM6. I can get about 280 miles to a tank with either ECU, same driving style and all.
So anyone who doesn't want to spend $200 on a stupid PM7 ecu get the PG7, it is awesome.

What year PM6 were you using? Supposedly the 90-91 PM6s had better fuel and timing maps and work pretty well with the ZC. I just want to validate/discount that rumor.

that weird, when i swaped to the pg7, i noticed my car didn't idle as good.. on the PM6 it idled rich but it liked it. i feel the pg7 runs rougher then the pm6.. but thats opinion personaly i think its preference.. only thing i hated about the pm6 was the low rev limiters.. the pg7 has the cold set at 7200.. and warm at 7600 i think. the pg7 runs leaner crusin yet richer at WOT.. where as the pm6 ran alittle on the rich side crusin, and not as rich as the pg7 at WOT.. i'm gotta better gas milage with the pg7, who ever says they run richer needs to check again.. i've experenced the opposite.
