I always had clearance issues with the N1. I like negotiating stuff on the street without having to worrky about the *** of my car as well as the front lip.
The HKS Hi-per runs under the LCA.....worse then the N1.
In order to have a angle but not restrict flow your going ot have clearance issues.

man everytime i see an apexi N-1 on an eg it makes me sick
i hate apexi N-1's
my buddy has the HKS Hiper on his ek and i have the JIC Bullet on my eg..they are both slantes and both go under the lca's but atleast they are proportion to the car not oversized like the N-1..the N-1 looks like its off a jgtc supra or somthing and someone stole it put in on thier car..because its cool looking

heres a side view of my N1 since there is plenty of posts with them from straight behind.

the N1 piping does go underneath the lca, and there is clearance issues with the road, especially if your car is as low as mine or lower. just be careful where/how you drive and its not much of a problem.
ill probably be getting rid of it at some point and going with buddy club, but for now its fine.
