I'd say $16-17k if you want to sell fast, if you wait around for the right buyer might go as high as $18k.

$15.5 -$17.5k. Probably would help to sell it quicker if you did some major maintenance on it. (I don't know what all you've done... but timing belt + etc. is coming up quickly... some people look for that kind of stuff). G'luck.

I'd say a strong $16,000. You'll be hard pressed to get too much more than that unless you find someone specifically looking for a clean R.

I'd ask $17,000 to begin with, and then go from there.

You drive and don't let them drive unless you think they're serious. It's your car, you don't have to let anybody else drive it unless you want to

Kelley Blue Book usually doesn't display prices on ITR's do to such low market activity. And usually pricing guides price ITR's for way below market value anyways.

Search this forum and autotrader for what other ITRs simular to yours have gone for. I would ask $17,500 and not budge below $17,000.

I don't mean to be a dick, and under cut you, but the car is no where near a 9 out of 10. The inside, might be, but I'd still say closer to an 8 due to the wear on the center councel and the seats.

As for the out side, I say its closer to a 6 or a 7. There was a lot of little tiny dents and marks on the paint, most of which could be taken out of by a paintless dent remover and a buffer. There was also some paint chipped off the front bumper.

Plus the car has over 70 k miles on it and the tranny does not have a VIN plate on it. For 17k, I don't think its worth it, but hey, its your car so if you want to try to get that much, go for it.

I'll save from posting the pictures, as he was emailed them, so if he wants to post them, he can.

I don't mean be a dick and shoot your hopes down, but I believe you are asking way to much for it.

The car is clean as hell for a 98. the car was garage kept therefor eliminating much fading and wear on the outside. I agree that if i got that small ding out, fixed the scuff on bumper and the had the car buffed it was be probably up to a 9 on the outside. The interior is as close to clean id say you can get for a 98 car. Overall, i said its an 8 or 9 for a car thats 5 years old

The car does have 70k miles on it but the car was maintained meticulously and i have the service records to prove it. I originally bought the car in September from a Doctor. I know that there is no way in hell that tranny was ever swicthed. Do all 98 Itrs have a Vin on the front of the tranny? I have all the service records and only thing done with the tranny is the clutch back in sept of 2002.

Last but not least i never asked 17. I was asking 16500 obo and for your friend i told him i would sell it for 15,000 with the comptech axle back, and that is a fair deal. I will post some pics that were taken in a few. You guys be the judge. So asspenny what do you think its worth as of now and then if i get the car buffed and paintless dents removed?

THE DING

THE SCUFF

THE TRANNY

THE CENTER CONSOLE

Transmission was replaced at some point.. Apparently your service records are incomplete.. That's how you'd end up with no VIN plate.. Or someone popped it off, which is twice as suspicious..

Post the pics though.. I'm curious to see the condition of the exterior.. Not because I plan to buy it or anything(I've already got one money pit, I mean ITR).. Just curious after reading all this..

Exactly. ALL of them had VIN plates. Actually, there is no way to say that the tranny is not stolen because it's VIN was removed (unless it's a new tranny which would need paperwork). Lucky you don't live where they check under your hood at traffic stops or you might have more problems than a car that wont sell..

As of right now, I say its worth about $14k. Remove the dents and get the front bumper fixed will push you up to around $15k maybe $16k if you are lucky. You have to remember, 70k is a good amount of miles, plus it is almost a 6 year old car.

Plus, the fact is, there are better cars out there for the money now. The ITR is not the almighty import racer that it used to be. It has lost allot of the appeal thanks to the EVO, STi and even the SRT4. Most people buying ITRs now are buying because they know what the car is and what it can do, but this usually also means they've done their research and they know what the car is worth.

But as for this ITR, it was defiantly kept in the garage as there is no paint fad at all, even on the plastic bumper and side mirrors. And the car defiantly runs like a bat out of hell and pulls very hard.

That's not a fair market price for an '01 with 83K miles on it. Heck, if you have half a dozen more friends like that, I'll buy all six of them. I'll make $3-5K re-selling each one.

yeah... that is WAY to low.... your friend should resell it, make some money off it, and buy another one
