Spoon throttle body - EVAP port
I picked up my Spoon TB today and had the chance to have it installed for me while I waited so I took it. On the top of the TB near the MAP sensor is a breather tube that looks like it might suppose to have a hose attached to it. It came with a clear rubber cover over it, and I noticed that when it was installed the cover was still on it. Anyone know if this rubber cover is supposed to stay on, come off or if there is supposed to be something going into that part of the TB. I can get a pic in the morning if no one knows what I mean.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
That port is for the EVAP system-the stock ITR throttle body does not have it (the ITR uses a port on the intake manifold). Leave it plugged.

That's not just the Spoon TB - all JDM ITR tbs have that (which is what Spoon modifies and resells). The pipe goes to the charcoal canister. If you car has one stock (B16s, JDM ITR, etc) you can keep it hooked up. If not, leave it plugged.
It's interesting to me that the JDM Rs have the pipe going to the charcoal canister when the USDM Rs don't. I thought JDM cars had little or no emmissions equipment compared to their USDM counterparts.
