Question about tire balancing
This may seem as a stupid or simple question, but I cant figure out the answer.
When a tire is mounted on a wheel, is that wheel balanced itself, or is it balanced with the wheel on the opposite side of the car?
I'm assuming its just balancing the single wheel, but I just want to save some trouble when I go get a single tire mounted.
Thanks in advance.

Wheel balancing is done with the wheels off the car one at a time. So they are balanced as a single unit, and not in relation to the other tires.
