Anyone with Toda 3-puck clutch disk experience??
I was wondering who has had this clutch and what there experiences are. I know that the engagement will be much stronger with the 3-puck over the full-face disk. I was wondering if there was a difference in longevity between the two disks.
Is the 3-puck "too overkill" for the street?
Any input is appreciated.

I have the Mugen 3 -puck. Engagement is firm and it tends to chatter in 1st (especially on hills). The material doesn't seem to be holding up - probably due to excessive city driving on my part. Otherwise it hooks up like a can of whoop-***. Clutch engagement effort is unchanged from stock. Downshifting is a bit more difficult in terms of rev-matching (precision required) - but I'm happy with it. I would imagine that the Toda is very similar (metallo-ceramic design?).
If you are NA, the 3 puck is overkill for the street...unless your street has a christmas tree at every corner...
I've had it for about 6 months now. It became less liveable when I changed to polyurethane engine mounts (my dash vibrates a lot from the clutch) - but it's still streetable IMO. But hardcore is my middle name now
