I need a shop to do engine swap in (Bay Area, California).

I have a 95 Civic HB, and I plan on ordering a b18c from hmotorsonline.

Thanks.

You can inquire at TwinCam in Concord, and maybe they can point you in the right direction

You should get a couple of friends and install it yourself. GSR motor into a 95 civic is really easy. Everything is plug and play. The only thing you need to do is add the vtec wire. You can go check http://www.c-speedracing.com and you can search around here and around the net. There is more then enough info to help you do it yourself. Just use the money saved to treat your friends to dinner.

i also say you do the swap yourself, but if you aboslutely need to have it done, i've heard Bayside Transmission is very good.

Only reason I'm thinking about using a shop is because I have a friend that did that and his **** wasn't running smooth at all. he had tons of problems. But i'll check out doing it myself again.

I went in to TwinCam and they didn't know anything specific about where to get a swap done or where to get an engine.

I just called midnight. They quoted $5800 with engine install and all that other **** (timing belt etc..) Sounds really expensive. They said if I came in they would work something cheaper out.

Any other local shops guys?

I'm going for reliability over anything else (at this point) You can set everything up ready to go (timing belt, plugs, etc....) and i need to pass emissions.

Also. do you already have the engine in pitt?

I'm interested in meeting you POWERLINEDOHCtor, or at least talking to you over the phone. I e-mailed you my phone number.

If I don't get a call today I think I might stop by Redstar racing, Tito quoted about the same price.

Thanks everyone. Hopefully I can have the swap started tomorrow.
