no spark (zc dohc)
91 crx si,zc dohc,88 teg ecu,
i have been trying to get my car to start for a while. the engine will turnover but i have no spark, yet i have power at the coil. nothing at the blue signal wire though, i can hear the fuel pump prime up and everything i can smell the fuel in the chambers. but i also noticed that im hearing a ticking from the eacv when i turn the key to acc. are the coil and eacv run in one circuit? why won't my car start? any suggestions? car was once running *before i took the head off to rebuild*. all grounds are tight. switched around the 2 white wires on the dizzy but that didn't fix it. also everything is new(dizzy, plugs, wires, batt)
fyi>>> when i was working under the hood one day i dropped my rachet on the underhood fuse box when it was open and i saw a few sparks.......think this could've killed something? all fuses are good too.
any help is much appreciated.

Be sure that the distributor is hooked up correctly, and that you didn't put the rotor 180 degrees off, or plugs the wires up incorrectly, etc.
It's also possible that the fallen ratchet severed a wire/caused a short/killed something. Check the area around where it hit, and where the sparks flew to check for possible signs of damage. Also test all of the electronics connected with those circuits to be sure that they are all functioning.

dizzy is installed correctly. i think that its my ecu. because im not getting any CEL when i turn the key on. and my eacv is still ticking. i don't know why though. i tested the eacv and its good. and the coil is good and the ignitor(and dizzy is new). does this sound like a bad ecu?
i figured it out, its the ecu. its NOT a 88-89 teg ecu its actually a 86-87 with looks the same except the 86-87 has a X on the tops of it, while the 88-89 has flat tops. someone ripped me off......atleast its a easy fix(if nothin else is wrong)
i feel sooooo dumb
