Need JDM advice - what color to paint spokes of these 3 piece wheels?
They are collecting dust and I want to put these wheels back on my car for a while. I want to powder coat the spokes either Advan Gold, Volk bronze, gunmetal or black...anyone think anything else like red, white or something like that? Wheels are 18" x 7.5" Altstadts M1s made in Japan. check them out You guys like? dislike?

I like the wheels. 18s are so 1990s though. But nice wheels.
I like the finish, I'd leave it. Although I think black spokes would look the best, especially on your car.
Any other color

if i was to keep them i would leave them the way they are.. that way if you want to sell them you can still get decent $$

I haven't seen a great bronze powercoating job either.
Has anyone actually seen a wheel powdercoated bronze that looks good? Similar to bronze Mugen Mf10s? Or Volk Te37s? If you have, please post. If you haven't then

I know the rims are big but I think they would look a little smaller with the spokes painted...its kind of like an illusion with three piece wheels. Three piece always look an inch or so smaller especially when center is darker. But since these are full polished they kind of miss that illusion and look like a full 18. I believe they would look more like 17s if painted. For example I know youve all seen 16 inch black rims with polished lips dont they look a little smaller more like 15s?
As for matching the bronze color well i have a friend whose found the paint (not powder coat) that is very very close to the Volk Te37 color. So i was thinking I could take the paint to a powder coating location to match. Just a thought....
And about what about this being about JDM advice..... well I know alot of people in appearance section offer good advice about JDM style and since I like the clean look of JDM.....well then ummm...make any sense?
