what vss do i use for my cluster...i have an s1 tranny (cable vss) but the cluster needs an electric vss...so right now i have no speedo...any help is appreciated

 

any vss from honda should work fine...

but if you need to buy a new one, use a 92-93 integra one...

you should find these anywhere..

Any Electronic Vss from 92 and up civic or 94 and up integra. the 92-93 tegs im pretty sure are cable driven.. Anyway I just installed an electronic Vss from a 92 civic in my crx for my 00- civic Si cluster and it worked perfectly.

This is the piece I got from a 92 civic Si. It is missing the gear and o rings in the pic. I got this piecs for $39 and then the o rings for $5 both from honda brand new.


This is the main part the actuall VSS. this is what produces the signal and sends it to the ecu and cluster. I got this piece from a 99 GSR for $35 used but it was missing the clip with the wiring so I just popped on some wires and sealed them up.



These 2 parts worked perfectly for me.
