I am looking at a couple sets of JDM ITR seats and need to know how to identify real seats so I dont get ripped off. Thanks.

 

Suade for one, red stitching for another, and I would say look for a recaro tag on the upper back right below the headrest. I don't think anyone would go through the trouble in wrapping a set of knockoffs in suade. These are real: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...sting

JDM rear seats don't have the horizontal plastic tray between the seats like USDM and CDM do, it's all alcantara.

 

isnt the recaro symbol also much smaller?

Well most people know this but who really cares, they are similar enough. If it made a differenct here then I could see stating this but otherwise who cares. Unless some people just get off on correcting others. And if somebody does correct somebody else do it in a poilite manner. blah blah blah

looks like some sort of typo, i scrolled up and it said $470 for current bid, then at the bottom it says the same thing for shipping. what i don't see is when the bid ends. this is tempting

also i see it says "JDM Integra ITR Civic Type R EK9 Recaro Seat"
i'm assuming both cars have the same seats in the particualar year?

Woops, misread the question earlier, thought we were talikng about REAR seats. Anyway, yeah the Recaro written on the front will be small like in the above pictures. The USDM aftermarket Recaro SRD's will have white stitching, won't be covered in alcantara, and the "Recaro" name stitching will be white and quite a bit larger than the JDM/Euro/Australian Recaros. Hope that helps.
