Problem with passenger door sensor
i have a jdm itr
the passenger door sensor is ****** up lately
when i drive around sometimes the sensor thinks the door isnt closed properly, and that door check light comes on.
what annoyed me is when i park my car and suddenly the alarm went off , cuz the alarm thinks the door is open &$!@)(#&_!&@_!@* !!!
and when this is happening , i jumped to the passenger side , and i pushed the rubber sensor thingy and it didnt do anything , the light on the dashboard still indicating that one of the door is still not closed properly
i have to BANG the door really hard to fix this but it will happend again %&@!)#*!_

dont slam the door too hard. Some moron kid when I had my GSR got in my car and slammed the door so hard the glass from the window broke. Our doors are so light an require no effort to close. HE must have been used to some domestic peice of **** where you have to swing the ****** like as hard as you can to close it.
Needless to say, I told him that he can sit in the car to hear the stereo at a local s2k meet.
me! But I did make him pay for it and slapped a couple times in the head.

i had this problem with my accord. your sencer probably jsut isn't getting pushed in far enough. what i did was just put 2 or 3 layers of electrical tape on the spot where the door meets the sencer. never had a problem after that
Pull off the rubber cover on the door sensor. Remove the door sensor. It is held in with either a bolt or screw I can't remember. Take it out and inspect it. The switch is self grounding. If it looks ok, compare it to the other side. If they both look fine, try swapping the sensor from side to side. My ITR had a bad door switch and got a replacement one from the wrecking yard.
thanks everybody
so yesterday i took the rubber cover and the sensor off , and i sprayed the plug with wd40 and put it everything back like before
it seems to be working , havent got a problem for today
thanks a lot guys !!!
