Well I got out of class today and my father take me over to the honda dealership. I have saved all of my own money from working way too many hours and put it all together and bought my dream vehicle!! I got a 2003 CBR 600 f4i brand new for a killer deal. The bike is being all spiffed up for me right now and im picking it up tommorow, I will have pics soon. !!!!

Congrats man, i know exacltly how that feels!! When i paid $9,000 cash for my first bike i was sooooo stoked ....Took a while to save up for it but it was worth EVERY cent!! The best day will be the day you ride it home man!! Then continue to ride it for 8-9 more hours that day...

 

Ya i already took the msf and have all my gear. IM pretty much set . Just have to use the certificate from the msf course to go pick up my license. I love this bike and love it even more that i paid for it . your right that is the best feeling. Im riding it home tommorow but then have to go to work an hour later. but hey thats what sunday is for. !

 

i was in the same position as u. Rode the bike home then had to be at work in a hour. Kept thinking about the bike all day at work. Then came home to ride, and what do you know...started ****** raining. Got jerked off but rode all morning the next day...couldnt even sleep

 

Ya well I let my gf know that she wasnt going to be seeing me for a couple of days after I got it so I plan on riding for as long as humanly possible. Also, do you guys know of any good website for accesories on my f4i. I want a couple simple things to spiff her up a little bit more.

 

Awesome bike man . . . visit http://www.eurobikes.com for a nice undertail and solo cowl, and tire hugger, then visit http://www.micron-exhaust.com for a nice high mount red fade to silver slip-on (assuming it is silver/red). Then visit http://www.targa-acc.com for a nice double bubble smoke windshield, and short stalk turn signals. Then after you spend every last red cent, ride it and enjoy, because you just bought a great bike!!!

 

Absolutely no joke on the gear. I can't say it enough, please protect yourself. I know sometimes it can be hard to just stop for just a couple minute and put on a jacket, helmet, and gloves at the least.

Let me give you a $500 piece of advice. Buy a set of frame sliders and install them as soon as they arrive. Don't put it off and end up kicking yourself in the *** b/c you dropped the bike w/ the sliders in your pocket. I've seen this happen twice which is pretty sad

congrats on the bike i wish i had one of those. be sure to take breaks on your first few rides out - dont ride as long as humanly possible, its easy to get overwhelmed by the excitement and push yourself too far at first, take breaks is all i am sayin. go have a coke and think about how the bike feels/handles etc.

Best advice right there.

Last summer, this guy that goes to the local bike night pretty regularly just got a brand new 03 gsxr 1000, first bike. We all tell him he is asking for trouble and to at least always wear his gear and get some sliders. A couple weeks go byand he lays it down. $1000 - Repaints it bright *** orange ?? lays it down. $1000 - Bright *** orange again???

Still had the sliders in the box last bike night of the season.


MORAL: Some people are too stupid, and get sliders and wear your gear.

 

after school today i went over to pauls to see his new bike. first thing i knoticed is that it has its own big spot in the garage which was really cool. the bike was real shinny and looked brand new (cause it is). its a great looking bike which is the least i can say, although i dont know much about bikes. but when paul took me on my first ride on that thing it shocked me how amazing and free it feelt. great bike pauly, i had a blast. now i think im going to want to get one when im older .
