New NSX to debut soon either in the next few months or at the tokyo auto salon
The new car is going to come in two models a 3.2 v6 vtec 290hp engine with 6 speed manual and a 252hp 3 litre engine with 4 speed sequential trans...price is not yet set..and here some pics...of the 02' model. The drawing shows the acura emblems as the car is being designed for the NA and Japanese public.
what are the chances that is exactly what it will look like? i'll admit its better than some of the concepts i've seen for the new nsx

I know from the sides on back those are pretty much set in stone..not so sure about the front..but since its suppose to come out at an auto show in next couple months I would think this is probably the way the car will look like or atleast close to it. But from what I heard it will come out before or at the tokyo Auto salon. Not to mention there is supposely Type R verison coming later on in 02 as 03' model

This is not a "new" NSX. They're facelifting a few body panels, that's it.
Don't trust those drawings, either. Expect it to look very similar to the current model.
It looks kinda like a Modena in that top sketch.
It's not the same because all the body panels are to be changed and also interior. Not sure what about all the specs on the trans but there not the same as this car basically is going to be the basis of the newer car with 8 pot lump. I'm sure more info will be coming out shortly..on the car.

Not on the USDM '02, they're not. They're only changing things like the front and rear ends, that's it.
Look for the all-new NSX in the States two to three years from now.

I don't think people understand most those are all computer generated pics..so far no one has gotten a pic of it..most of the pic I've seen only show the sides as the front and rear are all under wraps still. There is drawing from Honda offically not someones else comcept drawing.
Those are official pics released from Acura. If you remember from the RSX prototype it does fairly resemble what went into production.
Here is a clip from my recent motortrend magazine.
"Acura NSX: Not due until late fall/early winter, Acura's mid-engine supercar gets some cosmetic changes for '02. Up front, the air intake/grille area has been reworked to impart a more aggressive feel, and the pop-up headlamps replaced with fixed dual-quad units. The rear fascia gets a similar type of image tweak. Two variants continue: fixed coupe and lift-top NSX-T. Powertrains also carry over. Opt for the six-speed manual gearbox, and you get a 3.2L/290-hp DOHC VTEC V-6 engine. The optional four-speed SportShift automatic is paired with a 3.0L/252-hp version. Air-conditioning, leather, ABS, traction control, and a limited-slip differential are standard.
The pics that Motortrend and Autoweek presented is identical to the pic above.

And speaking of 360 Modena, The Lead-Designer of the RSX went to study at Pininfarina and was captured by the 360's Line. The NSX is far from the 360.
Yeah, that had better just be a revision... if Honda is fewlish enough to release their next big supercar with ONLY a V6 it's going to plunder. Honda needs to toughen up quite a bit, and introduce a i-VTEC V8. Imagine, high revving power... AND low down torque.
That's ONE reason the RL isn't as big as it could be. The LS430 has a FAR more potent engine... as does every other competitor luxury sedan. Use the V8 in the NSX... de-tune it for the RL... and BAM we'll all be happy and I'll sell my right arm for one.

those look like drawings, not computer generated in my opinion.
