What are you thoughts on the Scion tC? *Pics & specs inside*
Standard engine:
All aluminum 2.4-liter inline four cylinder with variable valve timing that makes 160 horsepower.
five-speed manual or
four-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels
25 mpg in combined city and highway driving.
Standard equipment includes:
Standard 17-inch alloy wheels, Z-rated tires
four-wheel-disc brakes with ABS
Independent suspension
panoramic sunroof
high-output Pioneer sound
power windows, door locks and mirrors
keyless entry
air conditioning
cruise control
Optional supercharger package to boost horsepower past the 200 mark.
Designed to be a comfortable place to spend time, the driver's seat provides both height and thigh adjustment.
The rear seats can be adjusted 10 different ways or recline to a 45-degree angle for road trip napping.
Though it appears to be a coupe with a traditional trunk, the Scion tC is actually a hatchback.
Thanks to the hatchback design and the fact that all seats except the driver's can fold flat, an 8.5-foot ladder will fit into the 2005 Scion tC with the trunk lid closed.
Will be priced well under $20,000, even with the optional supercharger.

Looks like a Subaru, RSX, and Maxima all put together, pretty cool though, I'd still rather have a new Si for that price though
Well, I mean, it's not a bad looking car. It's surely a value, and no doubt reliable and maybe even a bit swift if you let TRD get their grimy hands under the hood.
Still, it looks like an Audi and a new 5-series got it on, and the offspring lost a couple doors and gained a fair bit of mediocrity.

I'm really excitied about the rear reclining seats. I like the fact that the seats lay flat.
The under $20,000 pricetag is awesome.
Plus the standard features make it own the new Si . . . . .

What kind of numbers is it putting down with the SC?
Reminds me of an RSX from the sides, but a neat little car none-the-less.

~200hp SC'd, 160hp n/a. Either way, it's a bargain. Not matter how you look at it.

Yes sir.
In all honesty, I have no idea how much TQ. But looking at the 6500rpm redline. I'm sure it will be up in the 90%+ TQ to the hp. (Don't know if I worded that right.)
For example.
160hp n/a, should have about 145lb-ft tq.
200hp SC, should have about 180lb-ft tq.

WOW 200 S/C'd horsies for around 20k. I like that. The sunroofs are cool. Backseats that recline? Who cares no one is going to be seated back there anyway if I were to buy one, although it does come in handy for buying ladders I guess
Well looks like Toyota has finally woken up. Make mine black w/ the TRD goodies
