Default SI front...

Hey guys,
I have seen alot of EK hatches with these front bumpers that have a thin vertical slit in each side of the bumper. its not some body kit i doubt because it looks very clean and sexy. could it be the front bumper to a TypeR or Si? the link i found is this to show the front bumper. im not sure if this is a stock or aftermarket bumper.

does anyone know where i can buy one of these for a decent price online and will ship to my home? i want one so bad!

Hey, out of pure morbid curiosity. Why is it called backyard special? Is that the actual name of the company or is this some slang I don't know about. The few I have seen posted on here in the past have been pretty nice, not super gawdy like some.

in a previous post about that pic, the owner (warren), said that he was catching wind in that pic and refuses to use hood pins...

That's a 99-00 front end. If you want to put one on your 96-98 Civic you need the hood, fenders, headlights, grille and bumper cover. That example has a lip on it as well.

All '99-00 Civics have that front bumper. The lip on the bottom was an extra piece that came only on the Si(R) and Type-R, and the grille pictured there is from either an Si(R) or Type-R as well.

Like Ricey McRicerton said, you will also have to buy the '99-00 hood, headlights, grille, and fenders to make the '99-00 bumper fit properly. The Si lip and grille would be optional, of course.

Hey, that's the silly Civic that we were making fun of the pointless and dangerous bling-bars that he hung from the pillars Looks like he should have spent that money to make his body parts fit properly instead.
