Default Another......bites the dust. Not the same as MikeD's

Lastnight, around 2:30 a.m., my buddy totaled PY ITR #1331. He was following a truck around a curve and the truck slammed on his brakes and when he hit his brakes the rear end swung out and clipped a telephone pole. Looking at it is a total lose. Most of the damage is on the drivers side right behind the door. He was lucky that it was not any closer. He got out with just a bruised arm, but I think he feels worse for the car. He was so sick that he left the car in the ditch it rolled into over night and had it delivered to a dealer today. There is damage on both sides. From the looks of it, it seems he was going pretty fast, but not sure though.

Now it gets kinda interesting. He wants another ITR. I told him to buy his back from the insurence company and I would sell him mine and I would get his some where in the deal. Then I would take it and just swap it into a Civic hatch or a Del Sol. That way he would be happy and I would be too. I would love to have a hybrid hatch or Del Sol. This way, I would not have a big car payment and I would have a faster car and more money to do mods. What do you guys think? Give me your honest opinions.

Thanks Corey

I say go for it.

Too bad your buddy was following too close though - hitting your brakes in the middle of a turn is asking to wreck your car. Hopefully he'll be more careful with ITR #2 because next time it could be more than the car.

I have to make sure that he can buy it back from the insurence company first. The gears have been turning in my head all day long. He already told me that if he can't get it back that we could swap his seats out with mine. My drivers side seems to be wearing out from getting in and out of my car. I will probably have nightmares about it tonight when I got to bed. It made my stomach turn just looking at it. Oh well, I guess we will know something later this week or maybe tomorrow.

I talked to him a while ago and he is thinking of keeping it for himself, but who knows. Mike, you need a 2nd one? For which one? Did you take the motor out of the 00' and put it in the 98'? With you owning your own shop it seems ITR motors should come easy with you. I might regret it, but I think I would love the fact of having a sleeper. I would have the best of both worlds. Oh well.
