what's the best suspension you has been on-------- post info here
need peoples inputs on suspensions they have or been on a ride on. NOT your dream setup or what you have heard from people or friends. just suspension setups you have been on, and how have they held after time. limit here is $500-$1500
i've had tokico 5ways with skunk2 coilovers and srr control arms for a month or so now. i love them.
Ground Control coilover sleeves with custom spring rates and Koni yellow dampers are the best bang for the buck setup IMHO - not to mention they're easy and inexpensive to upgrade or replace, and the damper has a lifetime warranty.
Excellent customer support as well.

Helped slap some Tien SSs on Who00know's car (which is for sale btw). I damn sure like those.
Honestly though, could'nt really tell any difference between those and the Skunk2 coils on the Illuminas he had before. I guess this is a thread about what you "put on" so Im going to say the Tiens.

ditto. but it's all personal.
what one person likes, doesn't mean everyone will like. (harsh, soft, firm)

Exactly. I personally like bumpy, teeth-rattling, kidney-damaging stiff. Others want a smooth, supple ride. Still others are content to ride around on blown or under-damped shocks that give them the bounce effect . . .
That's one of the great things about Ground Controls though - the easy customization. You can choose your own spring rate to suit your needs. GC uses Eibach ERS linear-rate springs, which I think are available in increments of 25 lb-in. So, I could order 500f/600r spring rates for my car if I wanted a stiff, neutral handling car - or you could order 250f/200r spring rates if you wanted a slightly firmer setup over stock but still keep the smooth and tolerable ride.
And if I eventually got sick of the spring rates I ordered, I can just buy another set of Eibach ERS springs with different rates and swap them right on.
When you order over the phone, Ground Control will even recommend some spring rates for your needs if you are unsure of what is right for you.

AGX with 450 front and rear Price **** ride quality *** handling ***
Agx with 700 front 600 rear Price **** ride quality ** handling ***

buddy club racing spec 12k front 16k rear Price ** Ride Quality **** handling ******
this was all in an eg.....buddy club is by far the best setup i have driven on....both on the track and the STREET!!!!
you can put the suspension dampers low and ride quality is greatly increased....raise it when you get to the track and you handle like a dream!!
and if you are interested in purchasing a set of any of the above

I'd been and H&R fan for a long time - had lots of cars w/ sport springs. Now I've put H&R coilovers on my EG, and I love them. Again, its pretty much just what kind of ride you like.
i would like somethign stiff around 500lbs spring rate 500 front 600 rear. teins are my first pick at the moment but dont know how theyd ride in a hatch with h-series swap. same goes for ground control
Neuspeed/Koni Yellows, GC 380/450, 21mm front, 13mm rear, GSR front upper, Cusco rear upper.
Best I've had so far.

Can't help yaz.
My shiet was so expensive I couldn't afford anything else after I bought em.
Poor.
jk..sort of.
I haven't owned anything else except for my Zeals, and an AGX/Skunk2 combo (a long time ago), but I've been a passenger/have driven cars with setups like the several stated above. All good suggestions.

well i was drunk and got suckered into buying some tein ss. my rear springs are made out of jello and marshmellows. 448 front 224 rear ?!? haven't been to the track quite yet, but i'm really not expecting too much. the dampers are great though, i'm gonna swap in some different springs soon and i'll be loving them for sure.
if i could do it all over again, i would probably have gone with the famous koni / ground control setup.

Well it's kinda pushing the $1500 limit that you have set but I just got the Buddy Club racing spec dampers put on my hatch and they are amazing! The adjustability of having a threaded shock body along with the 15 different rebound settings are enough for any suspension tweaker
I think for a very reasonable price you should go with Ground Control coilovers and Koni yellow shocks, its a very nice setup and should be well within your budget. Also a added bonus of the Grond Control / Koni setup is that custom spring rates are inexpensive and easy to get. My $0.02

i have gc with kyb agx struts, srr rear lower tie bar, itr front lower tie bar, itr front and rear upper strut bars, itr front and rear sway bars. Handles beautifully.

you know there is no difference other than spot welds, eh?
you know there is no difference other than spot welds, eh?
the best set up for just track use and hard driving i feel is jic, but for daily driving and some track use i like koni yellows and h&r springs
