I got off the phone with Roger Hewson from Quaife of America today and he wanted to test the interest in the after-market's need for an LSD unit for a ZC transmission.

Now b4 someone throws out the flame B.S. about trannys- zc, si , dx & so on being the same or similar or not, I don't care. I am only addressing 1 group out here who are in posession of the 4th gen JDM ZC transmission or hybrid using the 28MM diff carrier.

I need a head count of 9 people to make this a reality, just 9 + me = 10 total!

Examples Given:

If you're using the ZC diff carier that accomodates the 28MM axles, the equal length shafts & intermediate.

If you are in the process of rebuilding a 4th gen ZC tranny with a bad LSD, or no LSD.

If you are creating the 4th gen ZC/Si hybrid 4.25 FD & countershaft, 1-4 zc gears Si 5th, whatever Frankenstein tranny project with 28 MM carrier.

If you feel the need to run 28MM equal length/intermediate axles in your 4th gen tranny.

Whatever.

If you have the 28MM diff carrier, I was asked to reach out to the Honda aftermarket community to see if anyone was seriously interested in purchasing a Quaife differential for your tranny aplication.

Currently, Quaife of America has stopped producing these units. They will, however, reconsider their position on this specific application and either make a limited production run or restore production status on this item IF there is enough interest.

I am willing to provide a service to those who are in need of 1 specific product,
I am not necessarilly looking to provde a 'vendor' service. IMO, there are enough good vendors & such for whom we can purchase from, at least 3 on this board alone. The only purpose I hope to achieve here is re-establishing an obsolete part number so many others(including non H-T members) can use universally to order this item.

My interest in this item is usage of this LSD myself, if others are interseted also
then its a WIN/WIN . thx

I will be creating a 1-4ZC 5thHF w/Si final drive tranny sometime down the road. Using a Quaife is definitely a must. If it were possible to use the ZC equal length half-shafts(according to your proposal), I would go for it.
