Need a new clutch, what should I get?
2002 Honda S2000, this thing wont have a whole lot of mods, maybe intake, exhaust and a few other bolt ons so I don't need anything heavy duty. I'd also like to keep the pedal stiffness the same.
Go figure though, 24k miles and slipping.

Go burn in hell, I SHALL NEVER DRIVE AN AUTO for they are slow and easy like your mom
But stock clutch with an aftermarket pressure plate, I guess I should get a new OEM throwout bearing also.
What pressure plate should I get?
Oh, and I have no clue why its slipping already but I'm thinking its a faulty pressure plate simply because this exact same thing happened to my stang.

most aftermarket pressure plates for this car are simply modified stock pressure plates. Most will have 30% more clamping force. You wont notice a stiffer pedal with the 30% stiffer pressure plate and it's your best bet as the clutch wont slip as bad as stock. Just buy another stock friction disc and like you said, a new throwout bearing. While your in there, you may see it fit to upgrade the flywheel but I will say the differences are small from the stock flywheel to an aftermarket.

not saying what I'm running is what to get but I've had no problems with it. Again, most aftermarket pressure plates are modified stock units, so one could be bold enough to say the spoon, mugen, etc are basically the same but I would get burned at the stake if I said that was fact.
Some signs of a failing throwout bearing may be a sticky clutch or excessive noise but the latter is hard to diagnose as the stock tranny is noisy.

Awesome information and all but can you please name off a few brand names that would be ok to get. I don't want to pick out any pressure plate only to find out its worse.
Thanks man!

just to name a few again, spoon, mugen, act, the list goes on and on. It's up to you to choose one.

I have the Mugen PP with a SPEC Star Stage II kevlar clutch and it's just great. Some pretty good driver's have taken my car out onto the track and the first question they ask when they get out of the car is what my clutch set up is because they like it so much.
You need to send your PP to SPEC to have it properly mated to the Star clutch but it's worth it.

yeah my friend is also going to order a clutch from that company for his 91 turbo mr2 but i never heard or had anyone experience with that brand, reason he is going to order from them is because he said " its way cheaper and will last longer than an ACT Clutch kit" anyone with suggestions whether its good or bad?

Spoon is way overpriced rebadged OEM other company brand
ACT builds the best pressure plates for street use. That and a stock clutch disk is all you need.
It will handle the acceleration unless you try to drag race the car which Honda never built it for and any cheap *** mustang is ultimately better for. The end result being a P.O.S.

The stock disc is pretty good on the S2000 and we still sell them but we also started making a performance organic style which is a little more aggressive but still streetable and not too expensive.
We use a stronger diaphragm than stock rather than just changing the geometry or using harsh friction materials (for street). Our parts are all new, tested, balanced, and SFI certified for racing.
Choose wisely.
