Default Problems with air fuel meter

i have having trouble hooking up my air fuel meter in my car. All the meter is doing is staying on the last red light (showing lean) and glowing brighter or dimmer according to how much i am on the throttle. The car is N/A so i am not running lean on a turbo set up, i just installed the meter yesterday. I looked at the P13 pinout and i am 99% sure i have the right wire. I also tested my ground and power wires and they are good. Any suggestions on why it is not working?? The meter is good, and i have run out of ideas on trouble shooting, so whatever advice would be appreciated.

Sounds to me like you have it on the heater wire, rather than the signal wire.
