Ok, no I have not done a search but here is my question.
On a new model Prelude SH what kinda of gains does a JRSC get?
What is a apox. 0-60 on the car?
What else can someone do to a Prelude to go fast?
I right now drive a 400+ Hp Vette and love the way a prelude looks, but I an tosed between a camaro SS 01, another vette, or a predlude heavily modified. Is it possible to get to the point of those two cars? I need a rear seat or I would just get another vette. So y'all let me know.
Thanks

yeah but what kinda power gains do you get from a turbo, which a turbo is much cooler in my opinion, i love boost in any form, I just need to figure out how fast a can get a lude without breaking everything
Whats up? First thing, dont get the JRSC I have seen dyno results which show improvement but not significant to compare to your corvette. I remember one dyno result had 214 Hp at the wheels which probably means around 250-255 at the flywheel. All in all you are going to have 150 hp less then your vette, I know you dont want that. The best thing is turbo, but remember, you have to get alot of parts to compliment your turbo, manifold, intercooler, stronger clutch, etc. If you have the dough, you can add tons of horsepower to the prelude. I have seen a couple of preludes dynoed around 300hp at the wheels, thats some good ****! As for the back seats, there is minimal room, just enough for midgets or small children. The 2001 se is nice, handling is sweet, but you would want to turbo it if you want it to compare to your vette. Oh yah, the Camaro SS is very fast, you can get quarter mile times under 14 seconds pretty easily. Good Luck.

Cough Cough! Hum, uh JG you wanna get this one.

There is no need for some one to be back there. The dam cars are to heavy that is the only reall bad side that i see so i went at my car and hacked away untill i went from 3200 pounds down to 2650. And i am banging at the back door for 13's and YES IT IS A FOUR BANGER with just intake and exhaust.
So with a super charger i hope that i would be dam close in or at the back door of 12's. I know with alittle motor work i could be around 13.5 still on my streat tires.
Ps. IF you don't believe it bring it!!!!!!!
If you are in CALI let me know.
REMEMBER This is my "DYNASTY"
BUT PRELUDES WILL BE A DYNASTY IN THEIR OWN.

well here is an update i bought a 98' Camaro Z-28 SS
SLP 4" exhaust from header back
Corvette Rally rims
took it to the strip 12.7, good don't you think?
Keep in mind I drag race alot so it was an almost perfect launch
It has 275 width poostenze RE71 on it
Traction control was off
I love the car and it gets 31mpg on the interstate, sorry to all the lude owners but I need 8 cylinders to survive

I think it's your decision. I grew up with imports, so that's what I run. If I was raised by my uncle I'd be working on getting a z28 like my cousin. It's what you are used to I guess.
3200 lbs?? Is that with you in ur car?? Oh yea and its a 550 lbs diet.. not a 350.. dayam... Thats pretty crazy.. Thats like the weight of an ITR..

I've got a Type SH prelude being readied for a JRSC coming in the early spring.
From what i've heard and talked to the experts (Ben Shaeffer, in MD, and Jackson Racing, a sponsor of Ben's) say that with the mods that i have i should be expecting to see wheel horsepower around 300!
Now i've got every possible bolt on, engine management, flywheel, clutch, everything from titanium internals to camshafts.
SO, they say that the stock lude with good tires and a jrsc will run a 13.5.......there is a guy in MD that has one that ran a 13.7 with just an intake.
SO, they say that with my mods......possibly high 12's!!! POSSIBLY, with like slicks....then i could boost the jrsc to 10psi...or 12psi......even more power.
The prelude with either this setup or turbo is capable of corvette speed ....but you can't beat a Vette, i know my dad just bought a 2002 vette......and i just drove a Z06 and regular vettes today!!! SWEET A$$ cars

Out of all the V8 motors I have driven\own the LS1 in C5s and this camaro is the baddest thing imaginable, around town it is docile and acomedating. But the damn things never stops, when you romp on it it make power right to redline and feels like you will never stop accelerating. My first high speed run in it I watched the sppedometer and unlike an ITR (the only other car i have been that fast in) it goes past 130, 140, 150 like most passenger cars past 80 or 90. It is crazy!!!
Like I said to most of my freinds and like you said you fall in love with tourque or revs and stay there for life. I would love to have a high revving V8 and look forward to trying to purchase a NSX when and if they get a V8. But until then I am in search of a Intimidator SS to buy and would recomend this car to anyone who is even thinking of buying a american muscle machine

By the looks of your signature, you don't like VTEC(not v-tec). If you don't like VTEC, the SH is not for you.
Sorry if I sound like an ***. But if you really do want to modify a Prelude, go ahead w/ a turbo.
