Ewww...

That has to be one of the nastiest things I have ever seen!!!!!

It always makes me nervous when I see guys blasting down the highway without helmets on...why not just be safe and wear one??!

I was thinking the same. What split his head? Was it just the impact from the collision?

Yep, thats gross....helmets are a must, i'll never ride without mine...however i am dumb enough to ride in shorts and t-shirt when its 100 degrees outside...which would prolly lead to a similar picture but at lesat i'd have my head.

Damn, I really just thought "Do I really want a bike?"
It's all about being mature / defensive and having respect for the bike and EVERYTHING around you. I don't know how to ride, but I've talked to many with bikes. I'm getting my 75 CB200T this Saturday. I'm sure there are car accidents that are just as bad. Just be safe and keep the rubber on the road!

No, you have that backwards. It's your head that should be protected, regardless of what bike you ride.

I cannot believe you could say that after seeing those pictures. My stomach is in a knot. I dont think your family would be too happy seeing you like that, be mature and wear a helmet. Everyone encourages wearing a helmet for a reason, it saves lives. If you look at his body there are no real serious abrasions, who knows he could have survived.

Then I guess your head is worth less than $200.....

Maybe you should consider not riding at all..... just a thought

Im guessing he would have survived if he was wearing a helmet, it doesnt look like to bad of a crash, I think his head just hit the pavement really hard. Probably would have had a concussion or something. Not only is it stupid to not wear a helmet, but in my opinion I think it looks cooler when you wear one.

I don't ride, well maybe once every 2 weeks for a half an hour, and it's all around my house, I stay under 50mph so I wear a leather jacket and a skateboarding helmet...
