No matter what gears you get, be sure to use Loctite on the bolt threads so they don't slip. VAFC... don't waste your money unless you get or have cams. And when you do get a VAFC, get it tuned professionally on a dyno. I had my gears, fuel pressure and VAFC tuned on the same day on a dyno.
i voted skunk2...
off topic but when you use loctite, which bolt are you talking about? the ones that goes innto the camshaft? or the ones surrounding it?

The ones that go into the cam gear itself. ie - the Skunks have 6 bolts in their gears. Use Loctite on all 6 of those bolts for each cam gear. You may even want to out a dab on the bolt that goes on the end of the cam shaft as well, just to be safe.
Is it true that apexi vtec controller has problems with the newer engines, 99-01. My friend got it on his 00 civic si and he told me he was just having non stop problems with it
