I think (hopefully I'm not speaking out of turn here) that the implication that this is a compound you should not drive with on the street. As in, don't put them on Monday, drive to work all week, and *then* go to the DE weekend.

How do these pads compare to the Hawk line? They look to be in the same park as the hawk ht-10...
If that is the case, I'll buy a set.

I'll second Greg's question. I destroyed everything Hawk had to offer, including the HT-10, except the HT-9 which was recalled.

I'll second that. I run the same calipers and pads on the EF (using the Fastbrakes kit) and I really like them. I've run the Cobalts and R-4 Porterfields. Both are outstanding for wear and resistance to fad. The price of the Cobalts tips the scale in their direction.

Any H-T.com'ers want to try out Cobalts, please let me know. There is a full range of pads offered not just the VR's.
I have quite a few converts from the 'other' brake companies now running Cobalt. They keep coming back. Try 'em. I am betting you will like them better.
