Default Raising compression?

I am going to try to build my motor this winter a little. I want cams, but not sure what kind. Spoons, TODA's, or JUN's. Which ones make more HP? Someone told me to raise my compression. What is the best and safest way? CTR pistons? If I go with CTR pistons, is there anything else I have to do? Is there any other things that I need to know before doing this?

I have a ll these different people telling things to do, but they all are going different routes. So....some of your advise would be greatly appreciated.

I tried a search and I could not get it to work. Not sure if it was me or the search option.

It depends on how much compression you want...a 2 layer head gasket and .20 mill off the head would bump you up over 11:1. If you want more compression you could get the ctr pistons...those would put you around 12:1 with stock head gasket. As far as which cams to use, both Toda and Jun cams can get you some nice hp and torque numbers...it all depends on tuning. You can't just throw those cams in and expect a power gain. You'll need many other things, valvetrain, ecu, fuel control, cam gears, header...

So basically, it all comes down to how fast you want to go and how much money you want to spend.

Try to get the search function to work...

I agree it all comes down to tuning, So many people I see that go out and spend all the money on Toda & Jun cams and all expect to just drop in those cams and have 200whp. And when they go do a baseline with the cams, they are lucky to break 180.
I would suggest to take the time and build the motor right than do some serious tuning.
