I am curious to see if anyone has done this yet...my cup holder is broken and the extra cup holder is look quite nice to me rite now..I am just curious to see if it is a direct bolt on...and please do not say to go to s2ki.com I like this site. TIA

 

some guy on s2ki.com did..and he said it was a complete bolt in process...but pricey for that matter

 

Very simple switch. Pull one out. Switch a plug or two. Put the new one in. For only $465.

It's a dope conversion IMO but it's simply too much money. I can live with my passenger holding her drink.

 

In a related topic.... Does the coin holder pocket behind the cup holder come out? I need a new one because it is all scratched up. Just not sure if it is connected with a screw/clips or is fixed to the console. Cant be more than $20 right?

 

If you have an MY00 with VIN lower than 5730 it does not come out. Otherwise it should just scew right out. You have to remove the console piece and get to the screw from the bottom.
