Road Courses!
Ok; Im new in this forum. But: the question that I have is: A really good friend of mine would like to know where are some really good Road Courses at in the Texas/Oklahoma area. He is looking forward to testing his skills on a the Road Course. Because all he talks about is Road Course driving and wanting to pull a "G" on the skid pad.
Thanks!
Thanks!
The forum FAQ (currently 3rd post from the top) will give you links to all the info you'll need. Sounds like what your friend is looking for is an HPDE (a.k.a., track day, open lapping, etc.). Off the top of my head, I know they have that sort of thing at Hallett, which is in OK. They call it "High Speed Touring".
There are several road courses in the Texas-Oklahoma area. In particular, Motorsports Ranch, southwest of Fort Worth, is a great track for novices - very safe, very fun.
You might want to look into track events held by The Drivers Edge, which holds a bunch of excellent drivers schools on road courses in the area. So does the Texas Chapter of NASA. It's a great way for a beginner to get started.

http://www.texasworldspeedway.com/index-2.html... A little further south, but one of the best, if not the best, road course in Texas.
