Hello everyone,
I just recently got my 00 SI and it has that nasty greyish pinstriping along the body line(old man was previous owner). What is the best way to take it off?

 

heat it up with a blow dryer and carefully peal it off. Then to take off the excess glue get some goo gone.

 

I was going to try that, but I heard that goo gone is harsh on the paint.

 

i just took a ruler and scraped off the pinstripe because it was so old that the blow dryer wouldn't work. i was extremely careful with the ruler and got most of it off with that. Then i used goo gone to get off the rest of it. It is not harmful at all to the paint.

 

doesnt it look funny from the clean paint under the pinstripe, compared to the rest of the car

 

used a blow dryer and a ice scraper

 

Peel it off and use goo gone. Thats what i did. The car probably isnt old enough where you need to scrape it off since its a '00.
