Ok just got a FPR for my hatch
now at what setting should i set it at?
92 honda civic vx
it has a B16a2 US 2000 civic si motor
i have the b16a2 fuel pump
AEM CAI
JDM DCsports 4-1 header 2.5 collector
2.5 exhaust
chipped p28 mugen program vtec at 5400 redline 8500
at what setting should i set it at that will give me the best results

 

mine's at like 33 psi.

 

anyone else?

 

Get a wideband 02, and go to the dyno. Stock is at like 41 psi.

 

Here is my setup, and what PSI gave best results.

B16a
9.1 comp R&R pistons
head milled .04 mm (so basically almost stock comp.)
polished crank
ACT stage 2 clutch
9 lbs flywheel
aem intake
b16a2 t/b
ported i/m
AEM FRP
STR fuel rail
MSD ignition 6a
MSD coil
ported and polished head
jdm 4-1 header
carsound 2.5in cat
custom 2.5in exhaust
ES oval muffler

Best performance was gained at 40 psi.

I know my setup is a lot different. My first answer was go to a dyno because every car will be the same. However, the b16a seems to enjoy anywhere from 30-45 psi depending on mods. I hope this helps.

P.S: At idle I'm at 33-35, at WOT I'm at 40psi.

I am using 37 psi with the vac line off the FPR. I would recommend that till you get to a dyno.

Why do you not have the vac line connected?

I think he means, when he pulled the vac line off, it read 37psi, but he put it back on. Some people measure it with the line off, others with it on.

 

what is the correct way to measure it ?
with the vac line on or off?

 

if i leave it at 44psi nothing can go bad right?

With it off. That shows what it will run at full throttle.

just got back and set it to 38psi that should be ok right
