Do It Yourself? Removing stock tires off stock wheels.
Hey guys, how hard is it to remove stock Michelins off the stock wheels.
Is it possible to Do it yourself or do you have to bring it to a tire shop to remove them.
If its possible to DIY, can somebody tell me the procedures and what tools I need.
Thanks

I suppose if you really want to get them off yourself you could just cut up the tires, except for the tire bead which will probally require a hacksaw to bolt cutter to cut. All in all, I'd say it's not worth it, tires are not designed to be removed without a machine. Tire shop shouldn't charge you more than 10-20 dollars to have the tires removed. I paid 40 dollars to have my tires removed, new ones put on and have them balanced.
all wheels have a double bead, its a safety item. its very difficult to remove a tire w/ out the proper machine. if your getting new ires installed they usaully dont charge to remove them anyhow, just mount and balance. in many stores the fee is waived if your buying 4 tires.
