you still didnt post if its a auto or manual...

i recently filled my civic tranny up and it didnt take 2 quarts.
i think when i changed my accord fluid it didnt take more then 3 quarts.

manual about 1 and 2/3 - 7/8 quarts. just did mine. just make sure hte oil is lined up with the edge of where the bolt goes in.

i think theres a way to do it from the top, im not sure if its the speedo cable but its like below the battery holder on the tranny, im gonna try to post a pick and see if you guys can recognize it.

to fill: reverse light sensor.. here's another picture... to the left top corner



and to see the level. unscrew the bolt of the underside left of the tranny... ( i had to access it through the passenger wheel well..

sorry no pic

and what jimmy said.. about 1 1/2 quarts

helm manual says 2 quarts for 4th gens.
