Default what swap to do?

i cant decide what swap to do. i really want to do a dohc zc into my 88 hf but i am not sure if i want to go all out and do a b16. which engine is more compatible with aftermarket mods? like turbo or supercharging and stuff like that? also if i did go with a b16 what would the block number be? b16?? would it be a b16a6?
and does any one know a good place that does swaps in or around kc?

i had a zc in my crx....aftermarket support is less friendly(but still there) then the b16's..... i was very happy with my zc and beat a b17 gsr in a third gear pull...thats not to shabby for the money spent

zc's are great motors for the money. you don't have much of a choice than to go turbo on these things though, trust me it will be quick. but if you decide to stay NA, forget the zc altogether and get a b16. code on the block for the obd0 b16 will be b16a1.

i've driven my friends zc hatch, and its pretty quick. from what i hear, a turbo on the zc is alot quicker. for the money, i'd say go with the zc, but either choice will be good.

Id go with the b16...having been in both cars the b16 has way more potential for big hp gains...you can later upgrade the block to a b18/20 and have a killer all motor set up...or add a turbo later.

You'll end up with a b-series eventually.

I agree with Scott, sooner or later you'll get a b series, but the zc is the best bang for the buck but too bad it doesnt have a wide aftermarket like bseries.
