Default 92-96 Prelude Tail lights

I like the stalk prelude tail lights. I am not a huge fan of euro lights, and i had heard that you can white out the yellow part of the tail lights on a prelude to white with some chemical so there is no yellow turn signal color, and it sort of has the 00 99 Si look like just red and white.

If its possible how do i get rid of that yellow color on the lights

and also if anyone knows if you can buy prelude tail lights with no yellow turn signal that are also NOT alteza's

kind of hard to explain

i know what you mean and the method that i have HEARD of is that you can take the lenses off and use something like a screw driver to break the yellow off.

jz is pretty much right, you have to use a heat gun
and a shitload of patience, i didn't re-use that glue,
i cleaned it out and used clear silicone, here's a few pics

i didn't use any chemical to clear the yellow part out,
i used the inner part of a cheeztezza

Yeah i knew a guy that did this to his tailights....get the old glue off and use clear silicone. He reheated the old glue and almost melted his light assembly.

I made custom lights for my lude, but i went threw 4 pairs before i didnt chip, break, or melt them. I didnt have a heat gun, so i had to us the oven, it was a pain in the ***. I actually have one more set of stocks that i bought incase i screwed up again

The final product

All excellent stuff guys thanks. So a heat gun? like a hot glue gun?

also when replacing the reverse signal lense should i put white bulbs in too for a good whitish effect?

thanks

You can try to paint altezzas... it will be a b*tch if you dont know how to paint with transparency.. it gives a lil bling like stock headlight's bling effect...

Not for a few years...still don't have a cage or axles. Hopefully this year

It is a beast on the street though. I give most bikes a run for their money on pump gas (few come out victorious). That keeps the smile on my face for now.

no, mine have been painted inside. So all you see is a circle of light. It looks a lot different then the altezza's with covers on them.

XES, that is a nice looking lude. The guy that rolls around here doesnt look as clean as your does. Also he added the two lights that go on the trunk as well.
