i just keep blowing fuses
well i started blowing fuses in my power cable that go to my sub. It started when i put a new battery in my car. I have a Rockford Fosgate 750s powering one 12". I tried putting 30 amp fuses in them, and they blew instantly. i put a 60 amp fuse in there and it worked for about 5 minutes then blew. I checked the manual for the amp and it said it needed 60 amp fuses, but even the 60 amp one blew. i checked the battery connection it is tight, the power cable is fine, and the ground is tight, did i miss something or is it the amp for sure this time?
Thanks

look over your whole power wire, from the battery to the amp, and make sure theres no cuts or anything. my guess would be its shorting out somewhere, most likely at the fire wall.
what is the coil config on the 12"....make sure you aren't trying to run it at 2 ohm mono or something strange like that....I'd use a dmm to double check it all...

the sub model is a Rockford FOsgate HE2, turns out its a dual voice coil, and i re-wired it and so far it is working, im dumb *** the first time just hooked it up to one of the imputs, but then i read the manual and it told me how to do it right, huh should have thought about that the first time. anyways the ******* at best buy said a 30 watt fuse is fine, when i read the manual it required 60 watt, now its working fine for the past couple days, and actually hasnt sounded better, oddly enough.
Thanks for the help
