Hybrid ???'s
I have bee looking into getting a shell of a Civic or a older Integra. I was wondering which cars (Civic's or Integra's) can a five lug convertion done with some ease and how much the cost might be. I plan to have a hybrid ITR that I can do all the things that my factory warranty now voids. If anyone that has done a conversion before or knows what it takes to put ITR guts in a shell please let me know. I am looking at all the information now so anything will help. Thanks in advance!
...on the civic, the level of difficulty depends on the year, if your thinking 92+, then the 5 lug conversion is not a problem and is actually pretty straightforward, and the last time I looked into it, a complete 5 lug conversion was ~ $1600 w/ wheels. Also, all of the integras DA and DC will take to the 5 lug conversion the same way.
I have a question though, are you planning to build a sperate ITR hybrid? B/C your not considering using your current as the donor are you? I hope not......

Please, do not take your ITR's guts and put them into another car... If you want to build a hybrid, buy a hatchback and then do the 5 lug conversion and drop in a GSR motor.
No dont copy me!! hehe

Iggy,
Just enjoy your car as it is...no need to start modifying it that might "void" the warranty. The car has so much potential in its stock form.....
The car is still too fast for even MY driving level. Not to flame you bro, but we all have alot more to learn, about AutoX and Road race driving techniques. So please invest your time and money in practice, practice, and more practice....
We all have more to learn, and dont be in such a hurry! It all takes time.

NO I DO NOT PLAN TO STRIP MY ITR!! I love my ITR, and that is why I want to do a hybrid, you see I hate to put on a lot of miles on my car I want to baby it, keep it very stock and put it in a garage. A ITR, to me, is a collectors item and I want to keep it in the best condition possible. A hybrid will help keep the rush of my ITR without really using it and I can do all those engine mods that I have wanted.
No I do not plan to strip my R I am not that stupid, what I mean by ITR guts are like the motor, tranny, suspention, stuff like that. So my hybrid quest still continues as I look for a shell.

..all the itr components will "bolt-on", motor goes in like any other b-series, brake, MC, brake booster, 5-lug conversion are all good. Seats, cluster, shift linkage, console, etc. all bolt in, readily. You could even fit the dash if you really wanted to, you would have to use the ITR door panels, but it could fit, so go get yourself a 92-95 EG hatchback and swap away......
Indeed you can put an integra dash in a civic. I sold mine, but ill get some pictures and show you guys, turned out really good and everything worked
