Default Need Tein NA parts, Tein US won't help

I've got a set of ITR Tein NA struts in need of some TLC. Due to some misjudging of the ride height on the lowest perch I bottomed them out pretty good in the rear and I need to replace the height-adjustment circlips and probably the rear perches as well. Tein US wants me to send them in to be 'rebuilt' for $145 a strut which is nuts. I only paid $275 for the entire set to begin with.

The perches can probably be saved. They're a little bent but not really damaged. The circlips for ride height are a bit of a concern though. You can see they're 'squeezing' out from under the perch in this pic. Is this something I can possibly get machined? Anybody know what they're made of? I don't want to mess around when it comes to something like this but if the only option is sending them to Tein I'll throw them in the trash first. I'm not particularly impressed that they won't sell me replacement parts.
