My buddy has a 98 3.0CL and wants some more power all he has is a AEM and exhaust wants to know if the VAFC will make a difference he will tune it on the dyno.

 

he needs to dyno it now, and see how the power band looks, before he buys one, because intake/exhaust isnt going to make much of a difference, it will, but not that much. tell him to dyno it first, post up his dynos here, and that will give us a better idea of what we are talking about.

if he had more mods, like bored TB, P&P intake manifold, etc, then i would say yes of course, but with just i/e, it would be a good idea to spend the cash to dyno it first, then if it really needs tuning, then buy an vafc....
