New Spoon Hardtop
This is the first of heard of a spoon brand hardtop? Are you sure you're not talking about the mooncraft hardtop? There's a pic floating around somewhere of that one on a spoon race car. The one where the car is being pushed by a porsche.
that is ******* off the hook
that is nice
i wonder how it would look wingless on a street car
im sure that could be made out of custom cf for around 5-7k from a race shop taht does Cf

LOOK AT THE CAR. Are you telling me that guy gives a f about using the trunk? You know what, the tires on that car won't last 5k either!

if you look closely you'll see that in those pics there are two different hardtops. one (w/ the rear 3/4 windows) looks like you could open the trunk still.
the other, with no rear 3/4 windows, doesn't look like it'd be able to open w/ the trunk.

This picture above is not the mooncraft hardtop; it appears to be the amuse hardtop.

its a safety requirement. you cant drive soft tops in racing
EDITED FOR THE TECH POLICE: Im sure the hard top coupled with roll bars is a safety requirement in this particular racing league. So yes its an addition to the car instead of a weight reduction. as far to the weight of the hardtop you would have to search long and hard on the internet. good day

No, that generalized statement is incorrect. Every track has different rules.

loll. ok jms jt, if you knew the answer to my question how come you never answered it before?
and to ask again, is the h-t a weight addition or reduction? its an addition right, because the soft top is still under the h-t. how much does it weight anyways?

Did I say I knew the answer to the specific weight? Where did you get this from?
When referring to a "hard-top" each one weighs differently. Amuse, Mugen (Mugen makes a fiberglass and CF), and Honda all make hardtops for sale to the public for the S2000.
I don't know the exact weight of each hardtop. But if I wanted to, I would be able to search and find out. I'm not that lazy.
Common sense would say if the soft top was still there and you add a hardtop it would be an addition of weight.
Good luck on finding the exact weight.
