HELP! 96 accord keeps dying
Hi, I have a 96 Accord LX which keeps dying after driving it around for awhile.. I would be on the freeway going 70 and out of no where it just starts to die and the revs slowly go down and then it dies. Pull over wait 10 sec and it starts right up. I have checked the coil and wires..but no luck, it mainly happens after driving for awhile and mainly while the car is in motion...any help would be apperciated thanks
If you can make it come & go by wiggling your keys in the ignition then Elvis is right...
If not that, maybe ignitor. Does it only get flaky after it's hot? Take off distributor cap & look for loose wires or red dust.

I think the ignition thing sounds right. Honda actually had a recall on this and should fix it for free. Call and give them your vin# and they will tell you if it is part of the recall. My 97 had the same problem and they fixed it for free.
I found a web page which listed the vins affected and mines not one of them.. the key doesn't wiggle when its on.. also there is no alarm or anything in the car.. if its the ingntion is there anyway to test ti to see if its bad.. thanks
